A bus travelling from Davangere to Bangalore caught fire early on Wednesday morning. Six people were burnt to death in this accident. Injured people in this accident were been hospitalised, said by a police official. The sleeper AC bus had 29 passengers on board. The driver escaped from the place after the incident. The fire was caused by a leak in fuel tank of the bus which carried 29 Passengers. According to police, more than 110000 people are killed every year in road accidents across India. Bus accidents due to reckless driving, bad and poorly maintained vehicles are common in India. This is third such accident took place in Karnataka. Seven people were killed and 40 other injured after a bus from Bangalore to Mumbai caught fire in Haveri district of Karnataka in November 2013. Earlier to this 45 people had died when a Volvo bus from Bangalore to Hyderabad ha caught fire after hitting the median on the national highway in mahabubnagar district of Andhra Pradesh.
