In the election time politicians are likely to put out their dreams and aspirations and now it's Balaiah's turn. Nandamuri Balakrishna affectionately called Balaiah filed his nomination as TDP candidate for Hindupur Assembly segment. This is the first election for the actor, who confined his political activities mostly to campaigning ever since the party started. He was accompanied by his wife Vasundhara, son Mokshagna and daughters. Mr Balakrishna arrived at Hindupur from Bengaluru and after participating in rituals at Sri Hanuman temple near Sugur in Hindupur, a rally was taken out towards tahsildar’s office. The actor said he wouldn’t mind becoming the CM, if the party so demanded. But he clarified that he was not much bothered about position. Meanwhile, Mr Balakrishna announced his plans for Basavatarakam cancer hospital at Hindupur and talked of his ambition to develop Hindupur in all ways, including setting up of industries and an IT sector. Mr Balakrishna was accompanied by sitting TDP legislator Abdul Ghani and Ambika Lakshminarayan, who contested as the Congress candidates in 2009 elections and joined the TDP, a few weeks ago, in the procession. A group of minorities offered traditional blessings to Mr Balakrishna in the procession. The film star, who strictly follows astrological predictions, filed nomination papers at the tahsildar’s office at 11.39 am. After a gap of two terms, NTR’s family members are again in the fray at Hindupur. On being asked if Jr NTR will campaign for the TDP, Mr Balakrishna said that there was no need for a special invitation to Jr. N.T. Rama Rao. “It is part of duty of Nandamuri family members to try for victory of party as a task for people of state. It may be noted Jr. NTR had campaigned for the TDP in the last general elections even when he was bedridden due to accident.”
