With the alliance all set to fall apart, TDP boss Naidu reportedly pressurized BJP chief Rajnath Singh to surrender around four Assembly seats in the Seemandhra region in which the BJP has fielded very weak candidates.
Nellore Rural, Tadepalligudem, Santhananuthalapadu and Rajahmundry Urban are those seats where TDP rebel candidates filed their nominations yesterday. In return for the four Assembly seats, Babu is willing to give the BJP two more MLC nominations.
But BJP representatives reportedly said that they were fed up with the continuing tantrums thrown by Naidu and are actually saying that Naidu is angry because Modi has refused to share the dais with him during his election campaign in Andhra Pradesh.
Now it looks like more of a ego problem that Modi doesn’t want to entertain the TDP chief on dais but Naidu wants his share of limelight. This is not a good sign for TDP going forward given the future BJP holds at the central level.
