Chevella Parliament Segment is attracted everyone in Telangana due to tough contest among three hereditary political families. Karthik Reddy son of Sabitha Indra Reddy from Congress, Virendergowd son of T. Devendergowd from TDP and Vishweswara Reddy grandson of late Konda Venkata Reddy is contesting from TRS. All the three are politically and economically strong candidates.
There are 7 Assembly segments Thandur, Vikarabad, Parigi, Chevella, Rajendernagar, Maheswaram and Serilingampally comes under this Parliament Segment. Around 21 Lakh voters exist in this segment. Rural voters dominated in Thandur, Vikarabad, Parigi, Chevella where as combination of rural and urban voters in Rajendernagar and Maheswaram and complete Urban voters exist Serilingampally Segments.
Congress has is strong enough in all rural segments. It seems that TDP vote bank disturbed after some leaders deserted the party in Thanduru, Vikarabad and Parigi segments. But party is strong in Maheswaram, Rajender Nagar and Serilingampally Segments. There are around 12 Lakh Settlers votes in this Parliament. 6 lakh votes of settlers are in just Serilingampally Segment. TDP has more concentration of getting these votes along with BC trump card. Devendergowd is well-known BC leader in Telangana. TDP is pinning more hopes on Settlers Votes in Maheswaram, Rajender Nagar and Serilingampally Segments to win Chevella. TRS is relying TDP leaders who joined recently in TRS.
