The hope that was looked up by most of the Indians against corruption and journey towards development was definitely Narendra Modi. This was proven by the clean sweep Modi led Bharatiya Janata Party and its alliances of NDA achieved. As aware, Modi had sworn in as Prime Minister and has taken over the duties starting yesterday, 27th of May. In the first decision after assuming office, the Narendra Modi government had eyed on the long pending black money that was lying outside India. The newly formed NDA Govt on Wednesday has formed a special investigative team to carry out this process by identifying black money and find ways to bring it back to India. SIT will be headed by former Supreme Court judge M B Shah to unearth black money. The SIT also will include Revenue Secretary, CBI and IB directors, Enforcement Directorate official, CBDT Chairman and RBI deputy governor. Former Supreme Court judge Arijit Pasayat will be the vice-chairman of the panel. The Supreme Court had last week granted the government one week to constitute the SIT for monitoring of all black money cases. The proceedings of the first day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his cabinet Ministers were informed to the press yesterday late in the evening by Law and Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. He stated t "In the first Cabinet of the new government... in the light of the directions of the SC, we have constituted an SIT for unearthing black money... This was an important issue for us,” Let’s hope Modi would be able to do what India has hoped for in electing him.
