AP Chief Minister CBN leaves no stone unturned for the development of the state. CBN knows the latest technology when he went to Sriharikota to view PSLV satellite launch along with Prime Minister. He called ISRO Chairman Radha Krishnan to meet him in Hyderabad. Radha Krishnan would meet CBN on Monday. CBN has listed out all issues for discussion during their meeting.
As per buzz, CBN would likely to discuss with ISRO Chairman on Red Sandalwood smuggling and availability of sand across the rivers and sea coastal Government seeks the help of ISRO to count the number of Red Sandalwood Trees that are available in Seshachalam Forests. AP government has planned for new plantations of Red Sandalwood Trees in the forest where the smugglers cut-off them for smuggling. ISRO technology also helps to know the age of Trees in the forest.
Illegal excavation of sand mines exists in Andhra Pradesh throughout Godavari and Krishna river coasts. CBN wants to take the help of ISRO technology to know the availability of quantum of Sand. There are no official records on excavation of Sand. CBN believes that ISRO information could helps to the Government on where to excavate for sand and where to permit to dig for sand. AP Government also needs to take ISRO’s assistance on ground water levels in the state.
