He was the darling of masses. He is the reason behind myriad contented smiles. He was a beacon of light that radiated confidence. He could have been either CM or Opposition leader if he was alive.  For the crores of masses he was a demi-god; for his rivals he is a nightmare. He is none other than Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy aka YSR.Today is the 65 th birth anniversary of the late CM.Six years after YSR left us, his memories still live on. YSR born on 8 th July 1949 and served a two-time Chief Minister for the state of united Andhra Pradesh. His political rise has not been easy. He had impediments galore obstructing his path at every step. He won every election he was contested. In 2003 he undertook a three-month-long paadayaatra, or walking tour of 1475 km during the very hot summer months, across several districts in Andhra Pradesh as a part of his election campaign. He led his party to victory in the following general and assembly elections held in 2004, and did the same in 2009.  Some of his schemes - free electricity for farmers, fee reimbursement scheme for economically backward students, 'pavala vaddi' scheme for SHG women, Arogyasri healthcare scheme and interest-free loans to farmers - have benchmarks in social welfare.  Other side YSR has been accused of amassing large amounts of money during his tenure as the Chief Minister. On 2 September 2009 at 9:35 am YSR’s Bell 430 helicopter went missing while it was passing through the dense Nallamala forest area.Later he found dead and his deadbody recovered after a mammoth search.  Still many people believing that state might not be bifurcated if he alive. It was YSR who kept the state united despite of many pressures. Along with YS Jagan Thousands of followers paid floral tributes and remembered him on his social welfare schemes and commitment to eradicate poverty from the undivided Andhra Pradesh state  On his 65th birth anniversary, We at Apherald pays homage to the great leader.YSR lives on with his schemes….
