The Union Budget for the year 2013-14 was presented a short while ago and it is a whole disappointment for the newly formed Telangana State. The budget only has a 200 Cr worth horticulture University to be set up in Telangana. There is also a debt recovery Tribunal to be setup in Hyderabad. Except for these two, there are no other specific allocations to Telangana state. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has announced the establishing of AIIMS hospital in Andhra Pradesh. All of sudden Telangana MPs started raising slogans against the central government and demanded AIIMS to be given to Telangana state too. Immediately Jaitley gave a verbal assurance that the government is committed to expand AIIMS in each and every state of India in years to come. Interestingly, both the Telugu states are refused an IIM despite government deciding to establish four of them newly. Both the states are also refused Textile manufacturing clusters allotted. TRS government is gearing up to mark their disappointment and protest against injustice done to Telangana in the budget. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandra Sekhar Rao is gearing up to launch a fully equipped attack on Central government in all the issues which went against Telangana interests in recent times.
