It is very well known to all that the IT boom in Hyderabad in early 2000s is due to Chandra Babu Naidu's efforts. He made Hyderabad as one of the best IT exporting cities in India. And now he is keen in replicating similar attempts and making Andhra Pradesh a digital state. As a part of these efforts, Chandra Babu Naidu has managed to convince It giant, Google to setup a development center in Andhra Pradesh. Google already has its base in Hyderabad and is looking to expand to residual Andhra Pradesh. Chandra Babu Naidu has tweeted about this development. He posted, "Google MD met me today. Offered to set up Dev Centre in AP. Promised to work with DWCRA & other groups. Towards digital AP!". More details of this meeting are yet to be revealed. It is said that Chandra Babu asked Google MD to make use of the talent of DWCRA & other groups in various ventures of Google. The later assured him of exploring ways to integrate them in Google's structure. During the year 2013-14, IT exports from Hyderabad were pegged at Rs 57,000 crore and the rest of the AP is just about 2500 Crores. Chandra Babu government wants to touch 10000 Crores in the next one year and to touch 30000 Crores by the end of this tenure.
