The tables have turned down completely for the Congress party. At a time when it can effectively seize the administration lacunae by the newly formed TRS administration, the Congress is heading without any direction.
Sources say that recent meetings which were held in Gandhi Bhavan are an indication of what the party might turn out to be. During the review meetings, it is being said that no one is able to take out any money for expenses given the fact no one is sure when the Congress would make a comeback.
It is also said that many leaders are even reluctant to take out any money even for tea and biscuit expenses because they are not sure whether they would come back strongly again, so their perception is why waste money when you don’t know if you can earn again!
If this is true then it will give a clear advantage for the TDP to go more aggressively in the Telangana region and put TRS in the corner when the 2019 elections happen. At the same time, it also gives the chance for both TDP and TRS to poach few more Congressmen into their fold.
