The CEO of TV9 television news channel surrendered before LB Nagar police .Recently L.B. Nagar police had registered a criminal case against Ravi Prakash following a local court direction after an advocate moved it seeking action against the channel for belittling Telangana MLAs through a programme telecast by it. Lawyer Janardhan Goud filed a petition in Ranga Reddy court against Ravi Prakash for the derogatory remarks against the Telangana public representatives . In the petition, the advocate mentioned that a programme titled 'Bullet News' telecast at 8.30 p.m on June 12 has insulted Telangana political leaders. The Ranga Reddy court which heard the petition instructed the police to file the case against Ravi Prakash and they filed case under 504,505 sections of IPC and also booked Ravi Prakash under cable act .It is learnt that the police are preparing ground to arrest Ravi Prakash anytime and hence he surrendered before the police. It is worth mentioning here that TV 9 and ABN Andhra Jyothi are off the air following a decision taken by the MSOs in Telangana.
