In 2013, first time in the history of Kurnool district Co-operative Central Bank Limited (KDCCB) elections held for its directors. Both Congress and YSRCP were participated in the elections and Congress won Chairmanship of Kurnool district Co-operative Central Bank Limited. Union Minister Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy influenced on KDCCB directors to capture it’s Chairman. Sridevi was elected as its Chairman. She is the first woman Chairman in the history of KDCCB. YSRCP fails to get mobilized the TDP support to capture the Chairman. Political situation has changed soon after TDP come to the power in 2014. 16 KDCCB directors were changed the party from Congress to TDP. They joined in TDP in presence of Chief Minister CBN. In 2014 general elections, YSRCP won majority Assembly Segments in the district and two Parliament Segments as well. YSRCP is trying to capture KDCCB chairmanship by encouraging the board directors to invite into the party. As per the latest buzz, TDP is seeking to capture KDCCB Chairman by encouraging the directors to forward no-confidence motion against Chairman Sridevi. There are many aspirants in TDP for KDCCB Chairman.
