He is the only hero in Pulivendula Assembly Segment for TDP. Venkata Satish Kumar Reddy who lost the election to YSR family for all times as TDP Nominee in Pulivendula Segment. TDP has no second thought in Pulivendula in selection of the candidate other than Satish Reddy. He is the hero for TDP cadre in Pulivendula. He lost the election thrice to YSR and lost to Jagan in 2014 general elections.
Since 1978 onwards, Pulivendula is like a fort to YSR Family. Before joining in TDP, Satish Reddy worked as Vempalle Village President. Both NTR and CBN find it difficult to select TDP candidate in Pulivendula Segment. He was escaped twice from opponents attack. YSR followers also admire his courage to face YSR family every time. He faced many troubles when YSR was Chief Minister. Satish Reddy got just 15K votes in Pulivendula when he faced YSR first time.
In 2014 general elections, Pulivendula Satish Reddy increased his voting percentage and got 50K votes. CBN has recognized him in a proper way and selected him to the MLC. CBN also selected Satish Reddy as Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council. Satish went to Pulivendula first time after becoming Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council. Whole TDP cadre in Kadapa welcomed Satish Reddy and huge procession takes place in Pulivendula.
