Hyderabad based Majli-e-Ittenhadul Muslimeen (MIM) made its grand political entry into Maharashtra Assembly. MIM stuns all political parties with its performance in Maharashtra. MIM won two Assembly Segments and lead in one. MIM made an impressive performance in Aurangabad and Nanded areas. MIM has fielded 24 candidates in this election. MIM open its account in Byculla Assembly Segment and won over BJP strongman Madhukar 1,200 votes. Division of Hindu votes among BJP, Congress and MNS is the reason for MIM victory in Byculla. The party won over Shiv Sena in Aurangabad Central Assembly over 20000 votes. Aurangabad police orders not to allow Owaisi into the city was gave enough publicity to MIM. Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navanirman Sena (MNS) is failed to impress the voters in this election. MNS won 12 Assembly Segments in 2009 general elections. Party has not even retained its Marathi vote bank in Mumbai and Nasik where party did well in 2009 elections. MNS revolutionary methods against North Indians didn’t help to the party in this election. All other parties maintain distance to MNS with its attitude.
