World famous Disney Land is all set to foray in to India by establishing a mega theme park in the beach city of Vishakapatnam. It is said that the talks between Andhra Pradesh government and the Disney Land representatives are at an advanced stage. The theme park will need 2000 acres at a stretch and government sources are busy identifying the land in and around Vishakapatnam.
Accordingly, Investors will now pay five per cent of land’s market value per acre as lease rental every year. On Visakhapatnam outskirts the average rental amounts to Rs. 20 lakh per acre. Disney Land Company representatives are bargaining for even lesser deal. If this materializes, the theme park will become a major shot in the arm to the Tourism of Andhra Pradesh as Chandrababu Naidu aims to develop the Vishakapatnam-Araku valley as major tourist destination.
Currently Disney land is present in California, Florida, Tokyo, Paris and Honk Kong. A new theme park is currently being constructed in Shanghai which will be opened in 2016. The sixth destination of Disney around the world would be Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.
