As we all know our prime minister requested MP’s to adopt a village and work for its development. Our cricket god who is modest follower of modi came forward and took an initiative to adopt the village in Nellore district.
Sachin adopted puuttamraju kandreega, a village in Nellore district has caught national attention and grabbed headlines. Many were in dilemma about sachin choosing that particular village from Andhra to adopt. It was all because of Joint collector of Nellore district Ms Gorle rekha rani,She influenced sachin to adopt that village.
Going deep into details Ms rekha accompanied sachin on a flight where she introduced herself and made sachin to adopt village in Nellore district.
She said” I was on a personal trip to Newyork to visit my son and sachin was on same flight. Im not a keen follower of cricket but knew sachin would create impact on the Indians. Everyone in the lounge was taking photographs as a cricket hero, but I looked him as MP and I introduce myself from Andhra and told him that I knew his friend Chamundeshwaranath. Then our discussion continued and asked him how MP funds are utilizing and I invited him to come to Nellore where he could start a model village”.
She further added that we exchanged on email id and further we co-ordinate each other and he promised to adopt a village.
During his visit sachin had laid foundation for the construction of Rs 2.79 crore development works in the village.
