As part of the capital development in Andhra Pradesh, the AP CM Chandrababu Naidu asked the farmers to cooperate with the officials who are busy in land pooling. Now, the AP government who is facing trouble from farmers who are not willing to support the cause got a serious warning. When Prof. Nageshwar visited Penumaka village in Guntur district, the farmers told about the unwillingness to give away the lands for the construction of the capital. Worried about the farmers situation, he warned the AP government and CM Chandrababu.  Addressing the media, he said “We will not allow the government to forcibly take the lands from the farmers against their wish. It is not a wise decision to build a capital city on the fertile lands. Instead of building the capital on very fertile lands, he should build it in the vast vacant lands available in some other district." He also added "CM Chandrababu Naidu shouldn’t talk about Singapore model development in the state, because Singapore is a small country whereas AP is a part of India. So comparing the AP state with Singapore can’t be justified. Any attempt to clinch the farmers’ lands by force will be firmly resisted.”
