Constructing the Fly-over near Kanaka Durga Temple is the most desired election promise given by TDP to Vijayawada people. Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Nitin Gadkari wrote a letter to AP Chief Minister CBN on constructing 180 KMs outer-ring road around the capital and agreed to release of 19,700 crores to the state government. Constructing the fly-over near Durga Temple is also getting cleared by National Highways.
National Highways Authority has agreed to transfer “No Man’s land” from Swathi Theatre to Kanaka Durga Temple to the R&B department. This makes clear the flyover construction near Durga Temple. R&B plans to develop 4.8 KMs of road including 2.3 KMs Fly-over near Durga Temple. There is around 242 crores of expenditure for this construction.
Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani said that Chief Minister CBN and Nitin Gadkari will lay foundation stone for the flyover within 2 months. Nani conveyed his special thanking to Venkaiah Naidu in this regard. If this Fly-over will complete, traffic woes to enter into the Vijayawada City comes to an end.
