Usually whenever any politician is accused of a crime, his own party would be quick to jump to his rescue calling it an act of political vendetta. However, now Shashi Tharoor is finding himself isolated at the time of pressing need.
It is now public knowledge that his wife, Sunanda Pushkar’s death is confirmed as murder and Tharoor himself is gearing up to being questioned by police next week. Tharoor has reportedly told Congress party that he is a victim of politics.
He has stated that he is only being framed but Congress is yet to issue any official statement supporting Tharoor. In case something untoward is indeed confirmed, then it would be a big fall of grace for the former suave UN under secretary general.
Unconfirmed sources are now stating that all clues and investigation are leading to the direction of Tharoor becoming one of the prime suspects. But nothing is confirmed till it is confirmed so it has to be seen whether justice will prevail and give Sunanda’s soul some peace.
