The Andhra Pradesh Chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu reportedly skipped the 6th Indian Youth Science Congress inauguration event that was actually scheduled at Acharya Nagarjuna University recently. Naidu reportedly stayed away from entering the ANU campus on earlier occasions as well such as the oath-taking ceremony and Teachers’ Day programme. This has given rise to speculations whether Naidu had stayed away from the event due to a bizarre superstition. The superstition is that that any Chief Minister visiting ANU would be losing his office soon. Dismissing these claims, the Cabinet ministers of TDP government have claimed that Babu was tired after taking part in the paadayathra. MS Swaminathan Research Foundation and ANU have jointly organised the Science Congress and according to the organizers, there was reports that Babu had agreed to attend this inaugural function and arrangements were made for CM’s convoy including huge banners welcoming the CM that sprung up all over.
