Aviation and Hotel sectors got benefitted with the announcement of the Capital in Vijayawada. Occupancy ratio touches to 80% in airlines from Gannavaram Airport as against to the previous 35% before the announcement of the capital. Hotel Occupancy too reached to 80% in Vijayawada as against to the 40% in hotel sector. Thanks to CBN for announced Vijayawada as Capital of AP.
Around 1000 passengers were travelled on airlines from 16 services operated from Gannavaram airport. First flight takes off round 7.15 am and last landing around 9.30 pm. Airport officials said that Aircoasta, Spiceject and Air India were operating daily services from Gannavaram. First two carries 67 seating capacity flights while Air India has 120 seats to cater the needs of the passengers.
Top executives, politicians, bureaucrats and Industrialists are busy in visiting Vijayawada and Guntur regularly. They booked suites of the Hotels in Vijayawada in advance. Even AP ministers and Collectors also met in Hotels on their business. Fortune and Taj have planned to construct new hotels in and around Vijayawada.
