The Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) has been assigned by the Andhra Pradesh Government to focus the rich legacy, customs and Bhakti literature and greatness of Godavari River and temples on the essential of the mighty river during the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu from July 14 to 25.
The chairman of the particularized authority on TTD Sri J S V Prasad who chaired a review meeting at SVBC office in Tirupati today told the TTD and the state funding department would jointly take up different cultural and other undertakings to ease the big mass of devotees awaited at all Godavari basin bathing ghats and Temples.
He told the SVBC, the pioneer Bhakti channel of TTD will perform an important role in familiarizing the Pushkaram by producing programs on its significance, arrangements for first-aid, sanitation, drinking water, toilets and Annadanam activities at all the bathing ghats and Godavari basin temples.
More specifically the SVBC will create shows on Godavari river and Pushkarams apart from audio cassettes etc on the slokas exist in ancient scripts and sankeertans composed by saint singers on the significance of Godavari river.
