With Chandrababu Naidu at the helm, every one expected investors to queue in for Andhra Pradesh but the environment seem to be not in air for the truncated state. Losing cash cow Hyderabad, the state is now left along with states like Himachal Pradesh and Assam inheriting a very bad economy. It has pinned high hopes on the Center's help and Special Status but all of them turned to be bogus now.

It is more or less confirmed that the NDA government at the center is insensitive towards the plight of the state. The state government had almost lost its hopes on the Special Status promised. Investors who earlier planned to come to the state only were interested due to the benefits of the Special Status.

With Special Status ruled out, they are even worried if the state can honour the promises made by itself due to the deficit budget. So the industries are working on alternate plans. Example for this is, Bluestar ACs the company planned its first South India manufacturing plant near Krishnapatnam port.

We are said that the company already informed the state government that they will come to AP only if the Special Status is confirmed before October or will scout for other locations. Several other companies are on similar lines. We can easily predict some very tough times for Andhra Pradesh in the next few years.
