At a time when TS government’s recent and much publicized land regularisation scheme’ has turned out to be a huge flop owing to poor response , it is now reportedly moving ahead for coming out with one more building regularisation scheme from next month.
Sources say that currently guidelines are being drafted for the building regularisation scheme are which would reportedly sent to the government for final approval. It is estimated that this scheme will help TS earn close Rs 2,000 crore.
Earlier, the government had its hopes of earning Rs 5,000 crore through LRS, but until now it could net only Rs 11 crore so far and with only four days left for the February 28th deadline for the LRS, the chances of securing even Rs 15 crore revenue looks bleak.
It has to be remembered that during YSR regime in United AP, there was a huge demand for such schemes which poured in revenue for coffers in hundreds of crores, but now it has come as a huge cropper.
