BJP MP Sadhvi Prachi stirred up one more controversy by announcing a boycott of movies starring Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan and seeking rightwing Hindu outfits to scrap posters of their movies and make a bonfire of them.

The Sadhvi also stated that Christian proselytism was the reason behind Nobel laureate Mother Teresa's missionary work. She made the demand for the ban of the Khans while proposing that their movies are increasing a culture of violence and guiding youngsters not to adore them.

The controversial remark emerged despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal to all religious groups to act with moderate and mutual respect and his claim that his government would not permit any religious group from the majority or minority to fuel hatred against others.

Calling for a ban of the Khan triumvirate's films, she said, “I would ask the Bajrangis to tear the posters of films of Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir Khan of the walls and burn them in the fire of Holi.”
