Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is a shrewd politician. His shrewdness is the only reason why only Telugu Desam Party existed in both the Telugu states after the bifurcation. After the elections, Chandrababu became CM of Andhra Pradesh while TDP has to battle in Telangana in opposition for the next five years.
However Chandrababu did not lose hopes on Telangana and is touring the state as and when possible. On Tuesday, he toured Nizamabad and addressed the people. He promised to extend all sort of help to the newest state from Andhra Pradesh government. He also invited Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for a discussion on the controversial Krishnapatnam project.
While Chandrababu gave this assurance to Telangana people, behind the scenes is something different. Andhra Pradesh officials in the meeting with Central officials on the same day clarified that Krishnapatnam project totally belongs to Andhra Pradesh and there is no question of sharing power with Telangana.
One gets to surprise as we find the opinion of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and that of the Andhra Pradesh government is totally different. We will have to see what Chandrababu has to say about this!
