Japan’s finance minister Akio Isomata has reportedly expressed his country's willingness for more investments in Andhra Pradesh saying it has been Japan's long-cherished dream to arrive in Andhra Pradesh due to its geographical advantage.

The minister said that AP coast is important for meetings the needs of countries in the Indian and the Pacific oceans, adding that it is high time for industrialists from Japan invested in AP for high growth prospects.

Isomata is leading a 50-member delegation from his country Japan, and sources say that there 30 companies which are ready to invest in AP as they are satisfied with the infrastructure and natural resources that is available in the state.

The AP government is reportedly coming up with a `Japan desk' for clearing applications for industries in Andhra Pradesh with an eye on the petro-chemical corridor between Visakhapatnam and Kakinada.
