Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has been going ahead with a increased vigour regarding Pattiseema project, which he hopes can boost the fortunes of TDP for future in Rayalaseema.

The project envisages transfer of 80 TMC feet of Godavari water close to the proposed Polavaram site in Konaseema, to Prakasam Barrage through the left canal, which has been already excavated for Polavaram.

The quantity of water being released from Srisailam to Prakasam Barrage can be cut down and same amount of water can be sent to Rayalaseema through Pothireddypadu from Srisailam dam and immensely benefit the region.

While Jagan is opposing this project on political grounds, TS Chief Minister KCR sounded a warning saying that this project needs the approval of Telangana, thereby hinting the future course of events, given the fact that Srisailam water replenishes Nagarjuna Sagar for both states!
