Well, the Andhra Pradesh government that has been always working hard to set up national institutions in the state is being done very quickly. The Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao revealed a joyful news to the people of Andhra Pradesh. It seems the IIT and IISER that are going to be set up will be functioning from this academic year itself.
The Minister told that he made several site visits and the foundation stone will be laid on March 28th where the Central Ministers Smriti Irani, Venkaiah Naidu , Sujana Chowdary will be presiding over the occasion. CM Chandrababu is said to play the key role in getting these prestigious institutions sanctioned.
The AP Education Minister said that for the first year, since the institution will be in a nascent state, the intake for IIT will be 120 and for IISER will be 150 students, The Minister clarified that classes will be held in other college premises until the construction is completely done.
