Former film actress, YSRCP MLA Roja couple of days back made shocking comments on rape in Andhra Pradesh assembly much to the shock of all right thinking people, NGOs and especially women force.
During the heated arguments, taking on ruling TDP Ministers and MLAs she thundered " what more can they do to me. Arrest her or rape her?" She repeated the same statements much to the shock of the media in her interactions with the scribes at the media point. When a reporter tried to clarify whether she meant 'murder or rape' she much to the shock of the reporter questioned " do you dare to rape me"
Now her expressions, actions are followed so much on twitter that even Telangana MLAs are thronging Andhra Pradesh assembly to watch her in action. However many are blasting Roja for cracking jokes on serious issue like rape. They said it is shame on the system, politicians who triviliase even serious issues and pass insensitive comments. Many say Roja's statements are mindless as she is inviting people to rape and she is not minding the larger consequences such comments have on society and women in particular.
