The basic tenets and the sentiment behind formation of Telangana was that precious lands of their region were being occupied and it was given a campaign that mainly people from Seemandhra and politicians were occupying them.
This was one of the reasons why people wished for a separate state and TS Chief Minister KCR was right when he said no one will be spared if they occupy lakes and temple lands and only assured of regularization for poor.
But in order to garner more revenues, the government has now more or less extended regularization for all kinds of situations, whether it is lake, temple, jagirdar, or whatsoever.
The only thing people need to do is just pay the amount (like a fine) and get your land regularized. This decision by the TS government to relax regularization criteria is facing flak from the civil society which had high hopes.
