There are reports that one time close associate and actor—turned-producer, and also a former MP Mohan Babu has reportedly decided to join Bharatiya Janata Party, along with his actor and daughter Lakshmi.
Mohan Babu Invites Modi For Marriage
Mohan Babu, had called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Delhi today for extending an invitation for attending the marriage ceremony of his second son Manoj, who seems to have already received an invite from Modi to join the BJP. The Prime Minister has reportedly assured this strong man from Tirupathi that he would be needed for strengthening the BJP in Andhra Pradesh.
Minister Venkaiah Naidu
There are reports that Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu has played a key role in getting Mohan Babu to Modi who is also reportedly expected to attend the wedding function on May 20 in Hyderabad. Mohan Babu family was among the first powerful families in AP to extended support to Modi, during his initial rally in LB Stadium in 2013.
With reports that CBN had stalled the entry of many regional stalwarts into BJP apparently with the support of Venkaiah, it has to be seen whether Mohan Babu’s entry was done with the green signal of AP CM. It is not yet clear, but given that caste equations are not upset, it is a possibility.
