The never ending drama regarding special status for AP has become more or less like a daily serial with people of AP and Centre playing the game with no tangible results or conclusions, which will be affecting AP’s future in coming years and decades.
While the home ministry states that there is no final decision yet regarding special status for AP, a written reply yesterday by a Union minister from BJP has more or less nailed the fact that AP may not get special status but only grants and incentives which can spur rapid development.

At the same time, with growing pressure at home, within the party,from people and also from Jagan who is waiting for a chance, it is naturally expected that Chandrababu Naidu may be taking up an agitational approach just like what happened in Telangana but Babu looks hesitant.
Well the reason is that since Naidu is on aggressive investment wooing spree by touring in various countries, he has been assuring them that AP is a best bet without any agitations or law and order troubles so that he can get more companies here. Hence, Naidu feels any disturbance in peaceful atmosphere will harm the image of AP and hence he is planning a mellowed down approach towards Centre.
