After losing the power for more than year both in state and central governments, former Congress Senior leaders Kanna Lakshmi Narayana and Kavuri Sambasiva Rao are worried on their political future. AP voters routed out Congress party from the gross roots level against the division of the state. Heavy weights have lost their deposits and they even can’t expect the worst ever defeat.
Kavuri Sambasiva Rao who enjoyed Cabinet berth under Manmohan Singh government till last minute was resigned before the election and joined in BJP. Daggupati Purendreswari is somewhat better than Kavuri Sambasiva Rao. She resigned 5 months earlier to Congress and joined in BJP. But people reject her candidature in Rajampet.
Kanna Lakshminarayana who was treated arch rival to TDP during his political career in Guntur district. He joined in BJP after losing the election from Guntur. BJP predicts Kanna joining in the party will strengthen the party in coastal district. Kanna, Kavuri and Daggupati are trying to fix TDP in corner by supporting BJP government. All these leaders are in dilemma after BJP’s attitude in giving special status to AP. They even can’t come in front of the people after knowing BJP’s stand.
