River front farmers haven’t fall in line still and are continuing to oppose the construction of AP’s proposed capital city in multi-cropfields, not withstanding all the efforts which are being made by the ministers and district officials.

They are opposing Naidu strongly However, now sources say that the CM's visit to this river front is more or less imminent as the vastu consultants have reportedly insisted that bhoomi puja should be performed strictly at eesanyam(north-east) of core capital city , and this is now the river bank area.
An uneasy calm has reportedly prevailed over the river bank villages over the government's decision for performing bhoomi puja close to Tallayapalem village on June 6th. Although, a major part of river front farmers are opposing the bulldozing of green and fertile fields for constructing capital city , there are no plans for obstructing the bhoomi puja or staging protest.
CM had abandoned his planned visit
However, the state police bosses are coordinating with local police not to be complacent as the conducting of bhoomi puja for the upcoming capital city is indeed a matter of prestige. Earlier the CM had abandoned his planned visit to the area along with Singapore’s minister Eswaran over intelligence advice. But this time he would be entering river bank areas.
