The upcoming MLC elections on June 1 in Telangana is very crucial because rather than being elected unopposed, now all candidates will have to fight elections. This was necessitated as TRS has fielded a fifth candidate, clearly to ensure TDP gets no representation in Telangana’s legislative council.
TRS band wagon but again technically
Now with only three MLA’s, YSRCP stand is important because with those few votes it can remain neutral, support TDP or Congress indirectly.Out of the three MLA’s, two have already jumped to TRS band wagon but again technically as per Assembly records, they are still YSRCP MLA’s.
YSRCP led a delegation to state election commissioner
Recently, Telangana unit of YSRCP led a delegation to state election commissioner where they had urged him to act against Assembly secretary, Sadaram saying he might be acting on behest of TRS party and is playing gamble to see that TRS gets with its way in the upcoming elections.
Hence every party issues a whip and any MLA who votes against the whip automatically attracts disqualification but Jagan has decided not to issue any whip and in a way this ensures TRS in getting an upper hand in the polls. So, Jagan and KCR remain united in their dream to wipe off TDP!
