But all that golden era seems to end with the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. In the first IIT-JEE exam after the bifuraction of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, students from both the states received huge shock.
The results showed AP and Telangana did not perform well as they used to earlier. Goka Harshith, Hyderabad student saved the city securing 8th Rank in B.Tech. In B.Arch, students shone with five getting top ten ranks.
Sharmila Reddy scored first rank while K.Ashwan Reddy came tenth.Ch Hari Chandana from Vishakhapatnam scored 30th rank and B Akhil secured the 44th rank. Analysts and ecucational experts say this is only temporary aberration as students experienced tensions of state division and got distracted.
