Even as current NDA govt his trying to retrieve the situation somehow, even Vajpayee regime too came under scanner. Couple of days back AS.Dulat, former RAW chief, made startling revelations in his upcoming book ' Kashmir: The Vajpayee Years' in which he blamed Vajpayee regime for goofing up Kandahar hijack in 1999.

But even before Sonia and Rahul Gandhi's Congress party could take complete advantage of the above situation, Dawood bomb exploded it on UPA government. Now senior lawyer and former minister in NDA government Ram Jethmalini said he spoke to dreaded don Dawood Ibrahim during which the don expressed his willingness to return to India claming that he was not involved in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. He said however Dawood feared for his life and added he informed the same to the then Maharashtra CM Sharad Pawar and submitted it in writing but Pawar rejeced it outright. He said even UPA govt is part of it. Sharad Pawar too confirmed that he rejected Dawood's surrender but turned furious on media when they questioned more about it.
