The legacy of Governor ESL Narsimhan is an eventful one for the Telugu speaking regions. His rein has coincided with one of the tumultuous
times in the history of the region with agitation, controversies, bifurcation etc. His tenure itself has also become controversial of late recently.
Narsimhan was rebuked
Before AP bifurcation, Narsimhan was rebuked and alleged that he was an agent of Sonia Gandhi and that he is against bifurcation of Andhra
Pradesh. He was labeled as anti-Telangana by all groups including the firebrand party TRS before 2014. Then, state division happened.
After bifurcation, it was his turn to face the music of AP leaders who alleged that he is biased towards Telangana state. The note for vote
scam and the phone tapping scandal ruined his happiness in Raj Bhavanan he had to make lot of Delhi visits to bring back normalcy.
There has been a campaign to even oust him from the position but it was said that Delhi bosses feel him to be indispensable to handle the
headaches of AP-TS tug of war. But surprisingly yesterday at an event the constitutional head, who is also called as more of swamiji by his
critics reportedly said that very soon, he would be an ordinary man,hinting at his role minus Governor post.
