Former Union Minister Chiranjeevi who has been staying away from Congress party activities for quite some time after the party's crushing defeat in the general elections, appeared couple of days back in Rahul Gandhi's visit to Andhra Pradesh and did some hulchul.
Mega Star surprised Rahul Gandhi by speaking attractively attacking the ruling TDP and other parties during his pada yatra in Anantapur highlighting the farmers suicides and questioning TDP for its inefficiency in solving the situation.
Rahul's padayatra turned into successful
Rahul's padayatra turned into successful one, boosting the morale of the party cadre in Andhra Pradesh. However it was PCC President Raghuveera Reddy who took Rahul's tour as a prestige issue and made all arrangements. Other leaders including Chiranjeevi didnot help him at all but during the Yatra, Chiranjeevi stole the show.
Even Rahul was taken aback at Chiru's hulchul in
the meeting and people too responded positively to Chiru's address as he still
enjoys craze as film star. Party cadre too competed to shake hands with Chiru
rather than Rahul. Now Rahul is planning to use Chiranjeevi's services in
strengthening the party in Andhra Pradesh. Speculation is on that Chiranjeevi
will be made PCC president. However some say it was Raghuveera Reddy who turned
the program successful and one shouldn't give credit to Chiranjeevi.
