There will be chance that Election Commission would conduct GHMC elections at the end of this year. TRS government was postponed the schedule of the GHMC elections for 1 year for unknown reasons. High Court intervened and ordered Telangana Government for conducting GHMC elections. It seems that ruling party is still searching for the reasons to postpone the elections one more time.
Everyone knows that TRS has politically weak in twin cities. That’s the reason TRS encouraged TDP MLAs and leaders in the city into TRS. TDP MLAs from Sanathnagar, Kukatpally, Ibrahimpatnam and Maheswaram segments joined in TRS. In spite of all these, TRS is not yet ready for GHMC elections. TRS believed that negative result in GHMC elections would make lot of impact in the state. Keeping all in view, TRS was conducted survey internally in GHMC on its position.
The Survey gave rude shock to TRS Government. As per the Survey results, TDP and BJP alliance would emerge as first in the race. MIM comes in second, Congress in third place. But TRS comes in fourth position. This Survey causes more worries to TRS party. TRS already received shock in recently concluded MLC graduate segment elections. EC decision on not linking AADHAR with voter card is another setback to TRS. Most of the Andhra voters have AADHAR in AP but votes have in Telangana.
