The bias towards AP and for that matter, Telugu speaking states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is once more visible which has come out fully in the open. The smart cities plan for first phase of its implementation in India was unveiled by Union Urban Development Minister, Venkaiah Naidu.
According to this, Karnataka got 6 smart cities, Tamil Nadu got a staggering while UP got nearly 10 and Maharashtra got around 8 smart cities. But for Telangana, it was only Warangal and Hyderabad where as in AP, Vizag, Kakinada and Tirupathi made the cut. So only 5 have been given to Telugu states.
This is indeed being seen as step mother treatment to Telangana and AP since anyway elections are now here around the corner for four more years where as crucial polls are scheduled in UP and Tamil Nadu very soon. So, naturally the bias has come out with only meager representation from Telugu states.
Naidu will not react while KCR will react just once or twice with high pitch and then suddenly forget it. When as a single United AP, we could never achieve our rights or demand our share, now as two states, well no miracle can be expected and what is happening is only reflecting this injustice meted out to us.
