Right after the decimation of Congress in Andhra Pradesh, there has been a political vacuum. BJP for long has been campaigning that it will fill the vacuum however no one has taken the party seriously. However it seems BJP is serious in its mission and is gunning for Power in AP. All the developments in AP seems to be pushing the ruling TDP into a corner in the state.
PM Modi and BJP didnot respond !
PM Modi and BJP didnot respond favourably to special status and special package to the state. While AP TDP leaders are unable to fathom the reason, BJP leader Purandeswari went on record that AP will be getting 63000 crs special package. This is triggering speculation that BJP is planning to make inroads in the state and strengthen the party before the next elections. Though BJP and TDP are alliance partners, their formation is a forced one. In Telangana none can recognise them.
Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan speaking in Vijayawada said in 2019 BJP will come to power in Andhra Pradesh. During the meeting Kambhampati Haribabu,Purandeswari were present. It has to be seen how AP CM Chandra Babu will respond to BJP's ambitions.
