But still, they don’t enjoy that presence and power that Kammas have. The admiration and projection of N T Rama Rao helped a lot when the Telugu Desam Party was established and today it is a very big party. In this aspect, the Kapus reportedly wanted to project actor S V Ranga Rao as their demigod.
While that is happening on one end, it is heard that few Kapu heads who are more practical are reportedly planning to elevate Chiranjeevi into that stature. The time is right because Chiranjeevi is a union level minister and he is associated with a national level party. How will the megastar receive it remains to be seen.
