Senior Congress leader and ex minister Danam Nagender reportedly faced a shock of his life recently when AICC in-charge of AP and Telangana’s affairs Digvijay Singh had made a phone call to him. He seems to have enquired whether he was indeed quitting the party and if so, the date when he is planning .
Nagender, currently the head of the Greater Hyderabad Congress Committee, had been complaining to the Congress High Command for a long time regarding the party seniors ignoring his presence when taking up various party activities.
He also reportedly expressed displeasure over the diminished role of himself in the Greater Hyderabad region and hence Danam is also staying away from party activities. During the recent Congress leaders protests over the growing farmer suicides, Nagender was again conspicuous by his absence.
Digvijay reportedly dialled Danam on phone
Against this serious backdrop, Digvijay reportedly dialled Danam on phone on Thursday where he had directly asked him over whether he is planning to leave the party. Danam, seems to have reportedly told Digvijay that there is no such idea of quitting the party and that some people were only spreading rumors to pin him down!
