TDP was once a really strong force to reckon with in Telangana region. Nalgonda was one such district where the yellow party and Congress were involved in a neck to neck battle. Madhav Reddy was a stalwart of this district and one of the henchmen of Naidu.
He played a key role in ousting NTR from power during the internal coup of August 1995. He was the home minister of United AP when he was killed in a horrific attack by Naxals near Ghatkesar in late 1999. Currently TRS government is ruling the separate state of Telangana.
KCR may be embarking soon
There have been rumours that KCR may be embarking soon on cabinet expansion and naturally some big names might be dropped and some aspirants may be given the chance. Sources say that Jagdish Reddy of the same district who has been given portfolios on exchange basis may be made the next home minister.
Recently when reporters asked him about the development, he reportedly replied diplomatically but when suddenly he was asked whether he would become Madhav Reddy of TRS, implying a home minister from the same district, he was very upset and walked away. The reason is obvious, everyone known what was his final fate!
