Hyundai has displayed the latest generation of the Verna at Chengdu Motor Show in China. The model will go to sales in China this year. Indian buyers should be patient as Hyundai is expected to bring the car to India only by first half of 2017.
This new generation Verna has a contemporary design just like the recently launched Elantra. The hexagonal grille at the front looks similar to Audi's s signature front grille on its models. The new Hyundai Verna measures 4380mm in length, 1728mm in width, 1468mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2600mm.
The new model is larger than the current generation Verna in India. This new model will have a tough battle against Honda City and Maruti Ciaz. Fiat Linea and Volkswagen Vento are also making some changes to the next generation model.
Hyundai has also confirmed that they will updating the i10, that is sold as the Grand i10 in India.
