The trend of e-Tourist Visas is spreading like a jungle fire across India. As 150 countries have the authority to visit the culturally diversified country, India, the number of tourists applied for e-Tourist Visa has crossed 3 lakh in 2015 as compared to almost 25,000 in 2014.

Rudraksh Group Overseas Solution expressed its contentment on the matter by calling it the need of the hour. An official spokesperson of Rudraksh Group said, “Being an immigration specialist, we have to stay tuned with the current scenarios in the industry and try to get inspired from them. The concept of e-Tourist Visa that the government has introduced is a step towards motivating tourists to come to India, which is a huge opportunity for a number of people.” 

With India focusing on Digitization, Make in India and the hopeful Union Budget 2016 which has been presented in the parliament, this e-Tourist Visa’s concept is a cherry on the top of developing India. This year, the number of tourists who would apply for e-Tourist Visas is expected to cross 10 lakh due to the immense success of the concept. It is even double than the previous year’s visa applications. 

A reliable source, acknowledged with the matter, said, “We are planning to issue around 10 lakh e-Tourist Visas this year.” The Tourist Visa on Arrival (TVoA) was introduced on November 27, 2014, by the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA). 

Rudraksh Group explains how e-Tourist Visa works. An official spokesperson from Rudraksh Group says, “Under this e-Tourist Visa scheme, the applicant receives an email which confirms her or him to travel India after the Visa is approved and s/he can travel with a print-out of this authorised certificate. The Tourist then have to present the authorization to the immigration authorities on their arrival to India, afterwards those authorities would give confirmation to the person to enter India by completing the other formalities. 

Rudraksh Group highlights the data, according to which almost 24% UK citizens applied for e-Tourist Visa. The data also incorporates other countries’ visa applicants’ number, i.e. 16% US citizens, 8% Russians, 7% French, 5% Germans, 4% Australians, 4% Canadian, 3% Chinese, 2% Ukrainian and almost 2% Netherland citizens.
