Now, the all successful Cygnus Alpha scooter by India Yamaha Motor gets a disc brake variant, as part of Yamaha’s drive to offer innovative products to its customers. Priced at Rs. 52,556 (ex-showroom Delhi), the disc brake variant will be available from Mid-June across all the Yamaha dealerships across the country. Built on the concept of “Easy to go and high utility city mover”, the Cygnus Alpha is a family vehicle, ensuring the safety of families, while also catering to family needs. Radian Cyan and Marvel Black are the two colors in which it will be available. The drum brake variant will continue in the market for sale, alongside the disc brake variant.
The best thing about the Cygnus Alpha scooter is its mileage of 66 km/l, with its air-cooled 113 cc, four-stroke single cylinder engine. A storage capacity of 21 liters is another major attraction in the Cygnus Alpha. Yamaha hopes to increase its scooter market by a 10% market share, by the end of 2016, with the new Cygnus Alpha disc brake variant. Yamaha assures that the disc brake variant of the Cygnus Alpha has been introduced to ensure additional safety for families.
The Cygnus Alpha scooter also has the “BLUE CORE” next-generation engine development ideal used by the Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd., on its various models in Japan to enhance riding comfort, riding pleasure and fuel efficiency, while also increasing combustion efficiency (combustion control) and cooling efficiency and minimizing power loss.
The Cygnus Alpha comes with telescopic suspension, 21 liter under seat storage space, large foot space for rider and pillion and easy leg reach with its height of 775 mm.
