While corona continues to affect countries worldwide, another deadly virus has emerged in China. The swine flu-like new virus is named the Z4 virus is discovered. Humans have been found to be infected by this from pigs. Scientists say this virus cannot be fought by human immunity.

If the whole world is already raging with the corona epidemic, Chinese researchers have revealed another bitter aspect. Another virus that is likely to become a pandemic in the coming period has been identified. Their findings have been published in the American Journal of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The new virus has been named G-4. Researchers have discovered that it originated from the H1N1 virus strain that shook the world in 2009. The virus has been identified to contain all the features that need to infect humans. Between 2011 and 2018, nearly 30 thousand samples were collected from pigs in zoos and veterinarians in ten provinces of China. Samples were taken from pigs' noses, as currently used in coronavirus diagnostic tests. After investigating them, they discovered about 179 types of swine flu viruses. Experiments were made on the ferret, as they exhibit similar reactions as humans and Researchers have found that all the newly discovered viruses have dangerous properties in the G-4 virus ferret. It has also been observed to grow rapidly in human cells.

One out of every 10 people working in pig-related industries has already been infected with the new virus, the study showed. The matter came to light when antibody tests were performed on them. This has led to the conclusion that it is infected from animals to humans. Researchers are concerned that such an infection could transform the human body overtime to make it more powerful. However, there is still much research to be done on whether it affects another human. Scientists estimate that if this happens, there is no risk of another epidemic in the near future. Researchers say that the common flu-fighting human immunity is not enough to protect from the G-4 virus.

The latest study shows that human beings are constantly under threat from consuming animal meat. The threat of infectious diseases from animals to humans has been steadily increasing due to nontraditional livestock growth.
